For some time now, I’ve been a co-maintainer of the Drupal iOS library. There are few Drupal developers that also develop iPhone and iPad applications, since it might be a bit intimidating at first, I thought it would be a great idea to help people get started in a workshop of some kind. 1-2 March I will be attending DrupalCamp London and if there is interest for it, I would like to organize a training/workshop BoF about iOS development using Drupal 7 as a back-end.
I would talk about:
- What you need to develop iOS apps
- Setting up your site to connect with the iOS Drupal library
- Integrating the iOS Drupal library into your application
- Authenticating on your site from an application
- Creating and querying content
- The app submission process and its pitfalls
