To get you excited about the upcoming Drupalcon in DC and while you are waiting for the video's from Do it with Drupal you could have another look at the video recordings from Drupalcon Szeged. Recently I skyped with Roel De Meester from Krimson, who is one of the people involved in the proposal for Drupalcon Maastricht 2009.
We talked about the practices/lessons I learned with Gabor during Drupalcon Szeged and how these could be implemented in the next Drupalcon in Europe. One of the things that came up was video coverage. During Drupalcon Szeged the whole Pronovix team was involved in the taping, encoding and uploading of the video's. One of the most important lessons we learned was that you need to get the video's done right away. During the conference we had a big percentage of the video's online but since a couple of the sessions got mislabeled it was only a month ago that we were ready with "debugging" of the video list. I offered Roel that we could also do the video recording for the next Drupalcon in Europe with the same team. My colleagues are all for it and TeeCee, who was the official photographer and who helped with the encoding already said that he would love to join us. Now I still need to ask the others... It's not decided yet where the next Drupalcon Europe will be. Should it not be Maastricht that gets chosen in the end, I'm sure we could still do the recording if the organizers want us to.
