We are looking for an experienced PHP developer to join our team. We are based in Szeged (Hungary), but we are also accepting remote applications both from Hungary and the Central European region.

Responsibilities:

• Working with our internal team to create compelling and cutting-edge web applications, web services, and e-commerce systems
• Turning design and user interface mockups into functional websites
• Custom programming and web application development
• Testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing sites
• Contributing ideas and efforts toward internal projects and working as part of a team to find solutions to various problems (e.g., development platforms, documentation)

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, Drupal
• Prior JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery experience
• Familiarity with revision control systems such as GIT
• Solid OOP knowledge
• Good English command

Nice to have:

• Symfony/Laravel knowledge
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)
• Web design experience (e.g., knowledge of XHTML, CSS, web standards)
• Experience with automated testing (Unit, Behat)
• An interest in open source internet technology, applications and the community

Join our support team where you will be the interface between our customers and the developer team, managing a diverse and complex scope of support issues. We believe in proactive support, so we spend most of our time preventing issues, by installing security and feature updates.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Reproduce and troubleshoot and investigate (complex) issues reported by customers or internal team members
• Occasionally perform root cause analysis
• Log tickets, defects, and enhancements with enough detail to be understood by others
• Escalate issues to developer teams when necessary
• Effectively interact with other members of the team and the customers to provide solutions to technical issues
• Know our standard policies, workflows and SLAs
• Improve documentation
• Deliver updates to customers’ sites

We ask you to have:

• Experience with Drupal
• Some experience in a customer-facing role (eg. customer support representative, technical consultant..)
• Fluency in English
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Flexibility and context switching ability
• Great written communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate solutions and know how to ask for additional information or clarification
• Understanding of APIs and the development process when it comes to connecting applications
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities
• Passion for thorough documentation
