UI Designer (Mid-level)

Part-time · Product & Internal Platforms

What you’ll do

You’ll work on interfaces that already exist, have history, edge cases, and real users — and you’ll help make them better, one decision at a time.

  • Design production-ready UI for multi-version products and internal platforms, with a strong focus on desktop experiences
  • Turn UX handovers into clear, structured UI that developers can actually build from
  • Work inside an existing design system that’s evolving — sometimes neatly, sometimes less so
  • Build and maintain Figma components, variants, and layouts with scalability and handoff in mind
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers and testers, balancing visual intent with technical reality
  • Deal with legacy constraints thoughtfully: adapting where needed, pushing where it makes sense
  • Contribute to future-facing initiatives, including upcoming SaaS and new product concepts
  • Add just enough documentation to keep things understandable without slowing the team down

This role is less about perfect screens, more about making complex systems usable and consistent over time.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a mid-level UI Designer who can work independently, but doesn’t design in a vacuum.

  • Strong, practical experience with Figma
(components, auto layout, variants, styles — daily tools, not buzzwords)
  • A solid grasp of UI fundamentals: hierarchy, spacing, typography, consistency
  • Experience working on real, long-lived products, ideally with multiple versions
  • Comfort working within existing systems, brands, and technical constraints
  • Able to explain UI decisions clearly to developers, PMs, and clients
  • Open to feedback — including strong opinions from the development side
  • A portfolio that shows structured thinking and system awareness, not just visual polish

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Experience with design systems in imperfect, real-world environments
  • Basic understanding of frontend constraints and component-based development
  • Background in product or platform-focused teams

Why you’ll love working with us

  • You’ll work on products that already matter, not just concepts that never ship
  • UI opinions are always welcome, even if technical constraints sometimes have the final say
  • You’ll join a growing design team with UX and UXR already in place
  • Structured onboarding and mentorship from a lead designer when you need it
  • A pragmatic, respectful collaboration with developers — no pixel-pushing theatre
  • Flexibility in how you work: remote, hybrid, or onsite
  • A team culture that values clarity, realism, and steady improvement over hype

Compensation & working arrangement

This role is part-time.
We work with clearly defined internal salary bands, and compensation depends on:

  • your level of experience and UI maturity
  • the scope of responsibility you take on
  • the agreed part-time workload

If you enjoy working on real products, inside real constraints, with people who take UI seriously — we’d like to hear from you. Please send your application to career@pronovix.com
