Each year the Hungarian community organizes Drupal Weekend: a 2-day Drupal camp in Hungarian, where people meet to share knowledge in form of presentations, case studies, code sprints and informal discussions.

Out of the box, cloud storage services are not all that useful when you need to collaborate on documents in a organizational context. Most services do a pretty good job for individual use but fall short when you need to manage a complex set of projects.

It seems like a lot is moving in Drupal for government, after Drupal got serious momentum when the Drupal Government Days in Washington DC on 18 May, 2012, will be the third dedicated Drupal Government event.

In January we held the 2012 Drupal Process CXO meetup in Microsoft's new Amsterdam office (event photos). The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, several people said it was for them one of the most useful Drupal events in recent past.

Many business leaders in the Drupal community see products as a means to diversify away from a pure service business. Most of us however don’t have prior experience with product business models and definitely not with models that are GPL compatible. Given that Drupal products by definition are built with open source software, we believed there is a real need for an exchange of best practices and ideas.

Drupal executives clearly expressed their interest in learning about company best practices regarding software use at the 1st DrupalCXO meetup in Brussels in 2010. As an action point of the meetup, we launched a survey on ‘Software Used in Drupal Development’ and prepared a preliminary report that contains the summarized version of the aggregate data obtained last year.
