Lessons learned from the Drupal Products Meetup (Rome, 24-26 February, 2012)
Many business leaders in the Drupal community see products as a means to diversify away from a pure service business. Most of us however don’t have prior experience with product business models and definitely not with models that are GPL compatible. Given that Drupal products by definition are built with open source software, we believed there is a real need for an exchange of best practices and ideas.
Survey results on Drupal companies' software use: tools, efficiency and characteristics
Drupal executives clearly expressed their interest in learning about company best practices regarding software use at the 1st DrupalCXO meetup in Brussels in 2010. As an action point of the meetup, we launched a survey on ‘Software Used in Drupal Development’ and prepared a preliminary report that contains the summarized version of the aggregate data obtained last year.
Discussing the win^4 Drupal appstore
On 24-25-26 February we'll have the first Drupal product summit in Rome. One of the discussions I'm personally really looking forward to having is the possible business model for a quadruple-win Drupal appstore.

Drupal CXO process meetup in Amsterdam 27-29th of January
January 27-28-29 I'm organizing a follow up of the Drupal CXO days in Amsterdam. The event will again be sponsored by Microsoft (special thanks go to Michaela Kraft who organized the venue and the budget for the meetup).
DITA and Drupal code sprint in Prague
On 7 & 8 November I'll be attending DITA Europe in Prague. At the conference I'll be giving a talk on Strategies to Implement an Enterprise Social Platform with DITA Content. On the evening of the 8th I'll be doing a try-out of the talk I submitted for Drupalcon Denver: What we can learn from single sourcing in a multi-device world at a local Drupal User Group.
