How to make a QR code for a Tweet call to action

In the past months I've been including QR codes in my presentations to make it easier for the people watching my presentations to tweet about them. It's fairly easy to prepare such a QR code:

  1. Encode your Twitter message so that it's safe for usage in URL's, I've been using http://www.albionresearch.com/misc/urlencode.php
  2. Prepend it with: http://twitter.com/intent/tweet?source=webclient&text
  3. Use a URL shortener (to make the code compacter)
  4. Encode that URL in a QR code

I've been using Google's shortener since it has the QR encoder built in: simply take your shortened URL and add ".qr" to it, goo.gl/M5g0t.qr for example gives you:
