Euler Hermes Developer Portal - Event Recap

API The Docs Virtual 2021 Showcase Your Devportal

This demo was presented at API The Docs Virtual 2021 Showcase Your Devportal event series on 13 October. We are glad to present the video recording of the event with the demo and the Q&A session. Enjoy!

Visit the Showcase Your DevPortal Recap page for summaries and recordings.

In the demo, you can hear about:

  • Euler Hermes manages to integrate their corporate devportal without relying on one of the big API management suites
  • Robust infrastructure: they integrate with their own tools such as AWS gateway, Amazee services, a corporate open source IDP and Gitlab CI/CD
  • Double login feature with role based access control: any EH customer can log in with the credentials from one of the business portals
  • API product page, API detail page, functional documentation, release notes
  • Custom CI/CD chain

Q&A

  • Who writes the content?
  • Do you have plans on doing different languages?
  • How do the developers get notified of the newly available APIs?
  • What are your expectations from the sandbox? What will it change for the users?

Euler Hermes Developer Portal

Sophie Rutard (Head of Documentation Management), Emmanuel Teyssier (API Senior Analyst)

Content-wise the portal is yet somehow at an early stage (few APIs exposed) but it has some interesting integration features, such as inclusion of the corporate IDP for authentication and API key generation purposes and role-based access for different developer communities (internal/external/special partner types).
